Our extensive experience in leather and fabric upholstery extends seamlessly to classic car trimming. Interior trimming includes seats, steering wheels, dashboards, armrests, handles, door panel cards, headlining, parcel shelves and carpets. In each case the result is far better than new, as most manufacturers didn't fit the highest quality materials.

Karmann Ghia 1971

This was a labour of love restoration for a neglected and very rare classic. Re-trimmed, not in the original vinyl but an Andrew Muirhead colour-matched leather which complements the period-original VW flat grey beautifully.

The original seat foams were restored and seat mechanisms serviced, the original fluted seat back pattern retained with the correct fly lines. New, and better quality door cards had to be made and trimmed. The dashboard, back seat, bench backs, parcel shelf and boot details were all retrimmed to the original pattern in this high quality leather.

VW T2 Camper Van 1969

This classic VW camper van had a nut and bolt restoration, the original seating and trimming was a combination of vinyl and fabric. The seats, rock 'n' roll bench-bed, rear quarter cushions, and door cards are now all upholstered in Nappa leather.

The vintage Porsche driver and passenger seats were stripped, re-foamed, formed and re-trimmed to exact trim specifications. The bench-bed seating upholstery is composed from 2" 8lb chip-foam core with a high density seat foam top and sides, covered with machined foam-backed leather. This upholstery combination ensures luxurious comfort and exceptional durability for many years.

The rear shelf, boot lining and door-panel cards follow the original pattern piping, fluting and top-stitching but now in a luxurious and tactile leather which will last for years without degrading.

Lotus Elan M100

These seats needed to be repaired and a few unsalvageable panels had to be replaced. The new panels were connolised, and the original retained panels re-connolised. A lot of time went into colour matching the trim back to the original grey and yellow without over doing it. The seats needed to sit well with the dashboard, door cards, steering wheel and gear stick looking like they should be for the age.

So we did.

Austin Healy 100 BN1 1954

A no-expense-spared nut and bolt restoration of a beautiful classic sports car, elevating the original specifications whilst still looking OEM. New wooden seat bases, metal back supports and foams were sourced from the UK Austin Healey specialist. We machined the seat and back covers with ½ inch high density foam, and trimmed them in Cherry Red and Jet Black Thruxton automotive nappa leather. Particularly all the seat flutes are hidden-stitch fluted for a seamless finish.

There is more trimming work to be done as the restoration progresses including the door cards, glove tray, spare wheel cover, boot lining, and piped carpets throughout.

Ford T Custom Tub 1927

All parts were templated from the orginal panels that were beyond salvage. The seat and door panels are originally styled with superior seat and panel foams. Autolux, a Connolly archive leather (pigmented napa) was selected for the trimming and piping along with a high quality colour-matched thread. The end result is a sumptuous yet firm finish that will last for many years down the road.
