'British weather resistant' is a most obvious requirement i.e. looking fresh and feeling comfortable after each downpour. The fabric UV stability is also important, not only to guard against colour fade but also material degradation. Materials that handle the elements well, require less maintenance, are mould resistant and cool to touch in hot weather.

This outdoor furniture suite is progressively being reupholstered as their condition require. A very fine brand to start with, this Domus Venture set comprises of chairs, tables, side-tables, foot-stools, sofas, and sunbed recliners. Reupholstered in Spradling yacht faux leather, UV resistent. The parasol was covered in marine canvas, and trimmed in same upholstery grey vinyl.
Two seating arrangements constructed from scratch, starting with marine plywood bases, shaped and waterproofed. The upholstery cushioning is built up with an 8lb chipfoam core and high density seat foam for the tops and sides. The leather is foam-backed marine leather stitched with UV-stable and antimicrobial resistant thread. The leather covered piping has a plastic core specifically for marine applications. The backs are covered and whilst edge-sealed, they are secured by marine spec. stainless steel staples.
The best quality and correct materials were applied throughout for a long and very comfortable life.

This luxurious Silvertex® material feels very comfortable to the touch, with anti-stain, anti-bacterial and mildew resistant properties. A really high quality technical fabric that's super to lounge around on whatever the weather.
